The longer the phone stays quiet, the more the reward builds.

More presence on the floor.

Less policing from managers.

A reward employees choose.

One program. Two clear experiences.

Employees experience the reward.
Managers see the result.

Employees get a live Focus timer, momentum, and a reward worth protecting. Employers get only the information needed to run the program and measure a pilot.

Verified means Payphone confirms that a Focus session remained active—not what an employee viewed, opened, or did on their phone.

How Payphone works

Set the incentive.
Let focus earn the reward.

Payphone gives employers a measurable program without turning employee phones into monitoring devices.

  1. 01

    Design your program

Choose cash or points, set the earning rate, and define when employees can participate. During Focus, apps stay quiet while calls and texts remain available.

  2. 02

    Employees start Focus

Employees opt in on their own iPhones. Apps go quiet locally while their reward builds over time.

  3. 03

    Review verified results

Managers see quiet time, participation, and earned rewards—never app usage, messages, browsing, or screens.

Useful by design. Private by design.

You get the program data.
Not their phone data.

Payphone uses Apple’s Screen Time controls to apply restrictions on the employee’s device. The employer dashboard is intentionally limited to what is needed to run rewards.

What employers can see

  • Verified quiet time
  • Program participation
  • Rewards earned and pending
  • Team challenge standings

What stays private

  • Apps used or opened
  • Messages and browsing
  • Screen contents
  • Personal activity outside Focus

A pilot with a decision at the end

Know what changed before you expand.

Payphone does not promise a universal productivity percentage. Start with one team, agree on the outcome that matters, and evaluate the result after a bounded pilot.

Ways to start

Start with one team.

Common questions

What employers usually ask first.

Can we see which apps employees use?

No. Payphone records verified quiet time for the reward program. App usage, messages, browsing, and screen contents stay private.

Can employees pause a Focus session?

No. A session is all-or-nothing. An employee can end Focus whenever they need their phone, but the session stops and the momentum ramp ends rather than pausing in place.

How does the self-serve trial work?

Your team gets the complete Payphone experience for 15 days with no card required. At the end, the workspace pauses unless you choose to subscribe and add a payment method.

What does Payphone cost after the trial?

Monthly plans are $20 per active employee. Annual plans are $180 per active employee per year—the equivalent of $15 per month. There is a five-seat minimum, owners and program admins are free, and employee reward budgets are funded separately.

What if someone needs their phone?

Focus is all-or-nothing: Payphone does not offer an app picker or employer policy exceptions. Phone calls and text messages remain available, and an employee can end Focus whenever they need full access. Ending the session stops quiet-time verification and resets momentum.

Does Payphone support Android?

Payphone currently runs on iPhone using Apple’s Screen Time frameworks. Android support is not yet available.

Who funds the rewards?

The employer defines the program and reward budget. Payphone can track cash bonuses or points and provides a ledger for manager review and payout workflows.
